Impaired Risk Insurance
Impaired Risk refers to the ranking of an Individual whose physical condition is less than "standard" or who has a hazardous occupation or hobby. For many years people with health history records indicating diabetes, cancer, heart problems, drug or alcohol problems, felonies, etc., could not obtain life or other types of insurance. In recent years Insurance Companies have developed ways to insure these people with "Impaired Risk" coverage. Generally these policies are reasonably expensive and have a graded death benefit reflecting the increased risk to the insurer.
