Long-Term Care Insurance (LTCI) - provides for a person's care in cases of chronic illness or disability. Policies provide insurance coverage for times when an individual cannot independently manage the essential activities of daily living (ADLs). These are universally known a feeding, dressing, bathing, toileting, and walking, as well as moving oneself from a bed to a chair (transferring).
