Directory - PPOs (Preferred Provider Organizations)

PPOs offer the option of obtaining health services from a network of providers. The arrangement is designed to supply health care services at a discount cost providing incentives for Members to use a designated health provider (who is contracted with the PPO at a discounted rate). The Employee has the option of using a Doctor out-of-network. Out-of-network coverage is typically subject to either a higher deductible or lower co-insurance payment than in-network. No "Gatekeeper" referral is required with a PPO. PPOs are available on a regional and national basis.
